Another day goes by

One point needed @dragonsrugby @Jon9Evans

Yup, just one point required to get a home match in the quarter final of the Challenge cup. In all the years the european competitions have been going we have only ever got out of the pool stages once, but we had already managed to do that before todays match, so all we needed was that one vital point to stay home.

But look who we had to play, one of the mighty French sides Stade Francais Paris. We did have the home advantage and bubbling confidence and they had nothing to lose and even though we beat them in France they still had the likes of Morné Steyn, Julien Dupuy and Digby Ioane in their side and other huge men i haven't heard off.

It wasn't long before the Dragons were on the board, the excitement was mounting within a few minutes, this had to be our time. We kept on pushing and testing the french defence. To my amazement and pleasure we kept the board ticking over, we looked so professional at our approach, was i watching the same team that started the season? well yes, but somehow they have pulled themselves together and have started working as a well oiled machine.

Stade Francais never gave up and they were always within a few scores, they new if we wilted in any way they sure had the fire power to pounce. To my (and few thousand others) delight, we held on to the end to secure 4 points and a home tie in the quarters against our old rivals Cardiff Blues and what a humdinger of a match that will be.
