Two Stories, One Exchange

This is The Old Stock Exchange with Parliament in the background. Many folk are familiar with Borgen (which I have yet to see) but the other story I know from here concerns a young serving girl and is not so widely known. Working for a smart restaurant, some 20 years ago, she was asked to serve at a function held at the exchange (it was no longer an exchange and is actually up for sale now). At some point she got lost and managed to lock herself into a room on the ground floor. After a few hours she got desperate and found the strength to move a 10 foot statue close enough to a window, that she could climb up and out the 8th window from the right. Luckily a stranger was walking past at the time and helped her down. I'm a little unclear how she explained herself but I guess a serving uniform was convincing/distracting enough that she ran off to find her colleagues without further questions.

I do love Mrs Cph - she told me this story (albeit again) when she saw this shot. Bless her.

Finally, a big thank you for all the faves and stars that threw yesterday's shot high up on the "popular" page - most appreciated (and confidence boosting).
