Big Ben

A glorious day today so we decided to get to an early Mass and head off out with a picnic for the day. We decided to visit Argyll Forest Park at the town of Arrochar. After a short walk up a winding path we had this glorious view of Ben Lomond (the only Munro I've made it up). We sat for a while chatting to another climber / walker and had a good time just admiring the view and relaxing.

We made it down the hill and had a small picnic at the base of Loch Long and made our way home. Joni is making what looks to be an amazing pecan sponge cake, which I will hopefully be enjoying outside with a Greek coffee by the roaring chimnea.
