RSPB Birdwatch today

Spent a great hour counting the birds. At one time we thought it would be a poor turnout for us, but suddenly we had a frenzy of feeding.
Walter pigeon is always on duty picking up the food in the garden that the little birds chuck out from the bird table. Then we had Tree Sparrows, Robin, Pied Wagtails, Coal Tits, Wrens, and quite a few Chaffinches, to mention but a few.
This little one in the photo even sat on our railings to eat the fly that he had caught on the roof of the house. Top picture shows him looking up in readiness to spy something succulent to munch on, and then the bottom one, you can see that he was successful!
