Pulls Ferry across the River Wensum

Pulls Ferry is the 15th Century Watergate of Norwich Cathedral Close, and sits across the canal built originally to carry the Caen stone to build the Cathedral.

John Pull operated the ferry from 1796 to 1841 and his name stuck, it was previously known as Sandlings Ferry.  It was operated remarkably to 1943.

When I was at George White Junior School in Norwich I did a picture of Pulls Ferry which was exhibited in a City of Norwich school children's art exhibition!
