Australia Day And Jaxon's Birthday

Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip.
In contemporary Australia, celebrations reflect the diverse society and landscape of the nation, and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards, and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new immigrants into the Australian community.
The indigenous people of this great land call it " Invasion Day" sad but true..

This was taken looking out over the rooftops from the back of my house, a very hot day, after a hectic weekend with children and grandchildren now all gone home, we are sitting back and enjoying the quiet and the stillness, not so for those fighting another bush fire in the distance....

Jaxon had a really exciting birthday weekend, today is his 11th Birthday, enjoy the rest of your day my special young man, we will see you again on Wednesday..
