Open Access

Not the most pleasant of days - technically not as cold as it has been, but in the grey, and with a cold wind, it didn't feel warmer. I went out for a short walk - there was nothing much doing, but at least I got the benefit of fresh air and exercise. At the top of the hill that separates the Loxley and Don Valleys is this small area of access land where I often walk and look for wildlife. We are lucky to have lots of areas of access land nearby - some tiny like this one, others are large tracts of open moorland. These areas were the first to be opened up under the Countryside Rights of Way Act (CRoW).
