The Thames

Day 20 of Musical May: Starsailor - The Thames

So as I live in the West Midlands; I'm not exactly what you'd call close to the actual Thames.

But if you follow this, the River Leam, just a little bit further down you can meet the River Avon. Follow that just a little while to the River Severn and on to the Bristol Channel. Head down that until you find the different River Avon at Bristol, and pop through that to the Kennet and Avon Canal (I know; not a River) through to the River Kennet and finally join the River Thames at Reading. Can't be more than 200 miles of swimming...easy.

Alternatively you could just take the Grand Union canal. Or the M40.
