The Fern Ridge Wildlife Refuge has a genuine celebrity.
Two people have advised me to go out to look for a Snowy Owl which had been spotted.
Quite a rare occurrence it seems.
We walked out to the designated area with our neighbor.
Hilariously, the bird paparazzi were out in force.
We met a lovely lady who came up all the way from northern California to see this bird.
Our footwear was inappropriate, and our time too short, to walk out across the mud flat for a closer view.
The 10X50 binoculars we brought along allowed us to see well enough to satisfy our curiosity.
