Stirling

David Stirling founded the SAS and his memorial stands on the back road between Doune and Bridge of Allan.

Out on the bike, the dark figure is quite striking as you approach up the hill from the Doune side.

He also spent time in Colditz castle (I read the plaque). A life less ordinary.
