I'm a sucker for flowers and spring flowers are always so welcome. Every September I plant the pots and borders with bulbs; nothing too fancy as the winter can be cruel to delicate plants. Iris Reticulata is a dependable variety. It's hardly uncommon but no less welcome for that.
This one is in a pot sitting at the front door and is the herald of a whole lot more to come.
