One More Night

LooseCanon freaked out last night when he was 36 floors up, but tonight we went to the State Building in Bangkok which has a bar at the 64th floor, the Skybar, which apparently featured in the film Hangover 2. We find this an unlikely scenario, as you would have to be seriously loaded to get even a tiny bit tipsy let alone get a hangover. This massive edifice looks down in more ways than one, on our humble hotel which can be seen with the light on top on the left of this picture.
First of all we were advised that I might not be smartly enough dressed as I was wearing cut off trousers and flip flops which apparently were not up to scratch for their ludicrously snobby dress code. Figuring that our Baht were as good as anyone else's we bluffed our way onto the lift.We almost needed oxygen when we got out of the lift it was so high. Then we needed oxygen when we saw the price of drinks. We were about to scuttle off back to the lift when a pretty waitress came for our order, so we gulped and ordered the most expensive beers in history.
Think of it, I said to LC, like paying to go up the Shard but with a couple of beers thrown in. He was happy with that.
