A portrait

of Les Sayers.  Les figured very prominently in our village from his boyhood in the 1920's through to the end of his life.  He captured his childhood memories for his grandsons, as he thought, but we have permission to use them in our village history project, so they will reach a far wider audience.  He sat on the Parish Council, did extensive renovation work to the church wall and wrote and printed a series of walks based on the village which explore the countryside around.
He is remembered with great respect.
