Glimpsed

Just as I was about to drive off the Western Ferries boat at the Gourock side this morning, on my way to a day of meetings in Edinburgh, I noticed this - the Argyll Ferries passenger vessel making its way across the Clyde.

I was struck by lots of things at the same time - the size of the hill, the detail of the forest (cut and uncut), the narrow strip of land on which Dunoon stands, the purposeful track of the boat and the colours of the pier through which I glimpsed the view.

I had about ten seconds to catch them all. It will be worth coming back for another try.
