Out For Lunch

Bit of a stressful day today, trying to outfit the boy for his first job which he starts next month.

"Business Casual" what on earth is that? "Khakis and a button down shirt" according to the daughter, by text, "and a blazer, that's what the frat boys wear". OK what about engineers?

"Hmm. Button down shirt, is that one with a button down collar?" "No, buttons all the way down the front." "Oh, OK, a work shirt, LOL"

"I think I'd better come over."

We had successfully purchased a couple of pairs of smart shoes, and were into about our 20th pair of trousers, ranging from 32-36 inch waist and 32-36 inch length, (how can you be 23 and not know what size you are????), when the daughter showed up with an armful of bright shirts that most definitely weren't "business" at all! We did snap up a cashmere V necked sweater for $15 though.

Our next store had a man who helped us, Grace Brothers style. "Are you being served, Sir?" From him we got a blazer and smart trousers, (do not put them in the washing machine sir), 2 pairs of regular work trousers and 3 shirts. He gave us 25% off and by applying for a storecard, (which will immediately be paid off in full and shredded), we got an extra 20% discount which brought the bill down to around $200.

After that I suggested Nick take us out to lunch to thank us, which he did, except it ended up on my credit card!

Here they are in Unos waiting for a Chicken Thumb Platter and a burger!
