The German autobahns are awesome.

That said, in my opinion the rest of the damn road system could do with some British rules,

- roundabouts would be a great addition, instead of junctions with traffic lights.
- double yellow lines, or parking restrictions that people have to obey, I mean parking on a corner or a junction is dangerous in any language surely?
- yellow cross hatching on busy intersections that prevent junctions from coming to a full stop.
- cats eyes, or lighting that actually lights.
- white lines that show up in the dark and wet.

Can you tell I spent over an hour in the car in the dark and wet in rush hour, on a route that goes past the convention centre at kicking out time?
