High drama ....

..... at work today.

My office is only about 200 yards from the end of the runway at Manchester Airport (slight exaggeration but not far off).  Today was incredibly windy and so every second plane had to abort its landing and circle around for another go.

Very entertaining for those of us watching all this from the comfort of our desks - not so nice for the poor souls on the planes :-).

I'm not sure how the people in the houses on the flight path ever get any sleep - must have industrial strength double-glazing.
