Swimming Lesson

Monday is all about the swimming lessons. That and trying to get the house looking less of a midden after the weekend.

This is Kay, who teaches the girls, and many other local kids, how to swim. She's a total legend, and gets them doing all kinds of things that I would never have dreamed of seeing kids of this age doing.

Kay is allergic to chlorine, so has to teach from the side of the pool. This year, both of the girls are being taught by her, and it was a big step for the Youngest, as she's only just 6. The pool is well over 6 feet deep at the deep end, so the first few times when they would go down there without an adult in the pool was a little bit hairy...but it has paid off.

Today was backstroke, which both of the girls are like rockets doing.
