Toad in the night

It was difficult finding a blip today, with dull weather at home in the morning and traveling to Tuscany in the afternoon and evening.

So I trotted into the garden at 11:15pm in the hope of maybe shooting some night sky and almost immediately came across this fine looking toad which was clearly enjoying the exceptionally wet conditions here.

I think it is just a common toad but he was rather huge. Far bigger than any I have ever seen back home.
