It's Grim Up North

Another country

Preston is another country, they do things differently there.

Drove twenty miles south to meet a group of Prestonian friends in a pub in the Lancashire countryside. It's a different world of flat rolling countryside and, houses built from brick. Brick, how strange is that?

But good to be with women I've known for thirty years, through births, deaths, and divorces.

Took the scenic route home round the edge of the Forest of Bowland, through the sleet and gloom to find a blip. There isn't much there, apart from hills, farms and trees.......and a greatly restricted right to roam on the Duke Of Westminster's grouse moors.
