Clevedon Pier

All went well with Peggy's funeral - thanks for all your good wishes from yesterday - and we gave her a good send off.
We had the "ham tea" in Clevedon, which was one of Peggy's favourite places to visit - along with her husband Dick when he was alive. The pier was burned down at some stage - aren't they all? - and Peggy and Dick became donors when there was an appeal for the rebuild. There are lots of little brass plaques on the wooden walkway and walls as an acknowledgement - we never did manage to find theirs though we did look over the years, when we pushed her along in her wheelchair. Grabbed this blip on my phone as we left - so windy I could barely aim and shoot!
We managed to avoid the worst of the weather and traffic jams on the way back - though it was blizzard conditions for a while on the M42... It was nice to get home...
