Water delivery in Kirtipur

Some people here have running water; many do not. Yet Nepal is rich in water, I believe the second richest country in the world. What it does not have is enough dams, which is why it also has such severe electricity problems. Load-shedding in the Kathmandu valley is currently 11 hours a day. Some people have back-up generators and/or solar panels; many do not. Why not enough dams? - largely down to politics.

I'm off to Kopan Monastery for 10 days, during which I will be incommunicado. But I will back blip for sure! Namaste!
