Eerie Mt. Tabor Fog

Mt. Tabor is a short ride away and a frequent place to visit. The fall and winter fog rock my blip boat. When fog starts to burn off and the sun sneaks through, the sights can be stunning.

The park has a small event amphitheater on top, carved out of an extinct volcano. They say it's extinct. The Pacific Northwest has many active volcanoes. Mt. St. Helens is visible from Portland and is now a flat top due to the famous May 1980 eruption. It showered Portland with a "lot" of dust. I was in New Jersey during that period, but the fallout affected sunsets around the globe.
