Stretching a connection

 I planted some dogwoods a couple of years ago for the winter colour of their stems.  They look splendid - especially against the clear blue winter sky which we had today.

This variety is called 'Cardinal'.

Speaking of which, I am thoroughly enjoying 'Wolf Hall' at the moment.
