Hanna Korean Barbecue

This place has been in Cairo for 27 years we found out tonight. It's one of our favourites and there are always Korean customers, which is a good sign! We tend to stick to basic dishes and ones which wouldn't look out of place on a Chinese restaurant menu. We probably should be a bit more adventurous, but we're always starving when we arrive here and don't want to risk either disappointment or stomach problems. The food's consistently good, its very reasonably priced, you can always get a table, it's big enough never to be smoky, and they sell the Egyptian beer, Sakara. Five big ticks from us. I doubt if the basic decor has changed much in the 27 years!

We had a wander round the streets of Zamalek in the early evening before ending up in Hanna's.

As we've been told to avoid downtown and near Tahrir Square, our movements are a bit restricted these days.
