Below the castle wall

I decided to take a walk up to the farmers market with the camera to get some stock shots for the future (I am really enjoying taking photos of food at the moment and apparently it's very sought after to have organic veg). On my way back I came around the back of Edinburgh Castle and looked up to see a hint of blue sky. I do like this view of the castle much more than the usual ones from Calton Hill or the Princes Street Gardens as this one makes the castle look far more imposing. You can see why these walls were impenetrable for hundreds of years when this was the sight that lay before any would be attacker.
