I was entertained this afternoon by Cyril Squirrel who was digging in my border looking for walnuts that he'd buried during the autumn.   He has a good memory as he unearthed three whilst I was watching him.   He ran up the walnut tree with them and sat on top of the bird box to eat them.   He is such a character as I saw him chasing the Moorhens back to the river earlier and he tried to scare a Magpie who eyed him with a look of distaste!   This was taken through the closed patio door as it was snowing and extremely windy and cold, so  it isn't as sharp as it could be!
