Chair renovation project

We have many old chairs, in fact our all chairs are old, I think. We have inherited some from my grandparents and some from hubby's grandparents. We've saved a friend's old chaurs she was throwing away. All chairs need renovation. They are loose and they need new paint. The renovation project has been on to-do-list for ages but now it's time to get them done. Hubby's father helps us. He tears down the chairs, then hubby removes the old paint and after that father-in-law puts parts together. Then we paint. The green chair that hubby is processing in the picture is from his grandparents' barn and those chairs haven't been in use at our home yet - the green colour was a bit too striking... The smell of this work phase is so terrible, that the work needs to be done outdoors, in the garage.
Upcoming Leevi's graduation party (in the end of May) was the driver for this project.
