Winter Warriors

We signed up to be Winter Warriors some months ago. Its a 5km (do it twice 10km) obstacle course at Donnington. In the event blurb they mentioned the real chance of snow and i thought that would be a good selling point so we could ask for more sponsorship, but we woke up to SNOW!

None in Donnington thank fook just bitterly bitterly cold!

We had a good time on the course and were soon leaping over hay bales, climbing towers of tyres and slipping down muddy slopes into water and pulling ourselves up the side of the bank. The word on the course was it was easier than a Tough Mudder, but that's fine by me. By the end I was cream crackered and probably colder than I've ever been in all my life. We'd paid for vip showers (aka hot shower, not vip at all!). And that helped with the warming up, as did the beautifully sugary hot chocolate.

As Ben's with his Granny, we celebrated our success with a trip to Salvos, somewhere we've been meaning to go our whole relationship. Could only get a table at 6.30pm, which actually worked perfectly. We ate our delicious grub and then were back home and curled up on the sofa for 9pm.

Tired bliss x
