Life through the lens...

Thermals!

Guess who forgot her camera on the walk today!

This shot was taken at the end of the walk, back in the car park at Bingley Station, from where we set off.

A glorious day! Blue sky and sunshine all the way.
We walked up past the 3 rise locks, then the 5 rise locks, and yp to the top of the hillside above Bingley.
Along through the lovely old villages of Micklethwaite, East Morton, and to Riddlesden. Then back along the tow path by the canal, and finished st the cafe by the locks, for tea and cake. ( as usual!)

You may have heard of the Damart Company.
This mill is the U.K. headquarters. Although this is actually a French company.
Established in 1953, primarily manufacturing thermal clothing, using a thermolactic fibre.

We certainly needed our thermals today. , as although it was sunny the temperature was only 2C  with a wind chill of probably minus 2C.
Sheltered in parts, but very cold on the top of the hills.
Still a very enjoyable walk. Good company as usual! About 19 of us altogether.

Hope you have all had a good weekend.
