Antonine Wall

This is a section of the remains of the Antonine Wall near Bonnybridge.
The left side is the remains of the rampart with the ditch in the centre.

It was built from around 140AD and manned for about 20 years or so until the Roman Empire began its decline. This spot is also the site of Rough Castle Fort where you can see the outlines of the buildings, still leaving an impression today over 1875 years or 684,000 sunrises and sunsets later. I wonder what our generation will leave for 1875 years in the future?
