Shakopee Tourney

This weekend Owen had a tournament in Shakopee.  It's quite a ways away, but it is the only tournament we share with our friend Robert (above.)  His mom and Jim went to high school together and just moved back to Minnesota.  Owen and I were able to catch a snippet of his game today.  Robert is in 8th grade.  Owen is so tall compared to most kids, even kids that are older than him, but he is minute compared to Robert.  I told Owen to stand up straight and Robert to look small for the picture.

The games today were intense.  Neither were high scoring and both were well matched.  The second game was won by one point, scored on a second free throw, in the last second of the game.  We could have easily lost had the ref called a technical when our whole team ran out on the floor before the clock ran out.  Our opposing teams each received a technical for having too many players on the court.  In the end, Owen and his teammates went home with a third place trophy.
