A Fly Went By

I sat by the lake and looked at the sky
and as I looked a fly went by.

This was my favorite book as a child, besides "Are You My Mother" and "The Three Little Horses." Very good reading for the 5-7 year old set!

It's a rainy day in Jersey and my white peonies are bent low to the ground but I'm glad to report that the ladybug larvae has found a happy, wet home on another one of these pink peonies.
