MonoMonday: Spirit of the Crow

The little stone bird is an American Indian crow, a Zuni fetish which represents the keeper of the sacred law.

The drawing is a young rook by my fine artist daughter, Beatrice Hammond which she gave to me on my birthday year before last. 

On the far side of the room is partially visible her drawing of Poppy who, during her ten years, was devoted companion and keeper of my spirit.
