Plymouth Uni applicants Day

We arrived in Plymouth by half past 8 this morning in wiks sleety cold weather.Stan was visiting the Earth Sciences dept  but we all had an excellent day. 
This is one of the Geology labs where there are screens interspersed along the room so students can face in different directions and still see what is happening.
The geo- phys demo was great fun with an expensive machine placed outside and students hitting the ground with a hammer whilst inside we jumped up and down.!  Happy memories of 'Time team' who always  made use of 'geo- phys'!
We chatted to a German lecturer who was a palaentologist and once again we really wished we could start again with studies..
