Moon shift

Found myself blipless this evening after a busy day at work so thought I'd have another go at photographing the moon. Used the tripod, but soon realised that the exposure has to be quite short. Took three pictures no more than a minute apart with roughly the right exposure. Looked at them on the PC, only to discover how much the moon had moved between shots. Then merged them using Photoshop. Not claiming it's a good photograph, or that anyone else will find it interesting!

Scientifically, of course the moon moves, and I really ought to take several shots at equal intervals of time and the same exposure. I also need to force the camera not to zoom out when it focuses. Maybe I'll need Mme A's DSLR.
