Photo repair Actual & Digital

Dear old great grandfathers blip is 110 years old and falling apart. Digital copy and enhancement easy peasy.
Actual repair a little more challenging. Soaked in rainwater overnight. Gentle pesuasion to remove very thin photo from its disintigrating backing card. A sigh of relief as the unbroken section peeled off in one piece. Drying the print slowly before pressing it flat. Finally remounting with detached corner onto new acid free card. The result preserves it for another hundred years i hope. Great grandfather top left Corporal Royal Engineers 11106 H W Taylor stationed Burmuda 1904.
Retired Company Sergeant Major M Company RE. 1925.
Photo safely put back into its tin box!
