All Hands to the Pumps

Though it's not a pump it's a pulley winch thing for cawing in chain. Chain clarted in messy Granton mud, attached to a large sinker. We're lifting them to give everything a bit of a going over y'see, as it's surprising (or not) how quickly even good quality steel deteriorates under water. I made that last bit up; they could be made of pig iron for all I know.
Anyway, I told them all about my fifth anniversary blip, thinking I would get hearty congratulations and slaps on the back, but they seemed quite disinterested, and even slightly puzzled. It did make me wonder whether all these people on blip are perhaps slightly odd after all.
