Stone circles

Not prehistoric, but dating from about a fortnight ago, when I caught sight of a lone woman picking up some stones from the beach beside the shore road at Toward. I wondered at the time if she was going to light a fire - it was a sunny, clear day - but didn't hang about to look.

And then we walked that road again, and here was a work of art, beautifully symmetrical and spaced, just lying here, above the normal high tide mark, with no purpose other than to look lovely - or so I imagine.
