A wonderful morning

Wallington Hall and Gardens can be found about 10 miles west of Newcastle. With a group of good friends we explored the grounds and especially enjoyed the walled garden. The aconites were shining their yellow faces through the smattering of snow. This bright friendly robin was singing his heart out inside the heated conservatory which was full of cyclamen orchids and many other exotic plants. The weather was very crisp, lakes were frozen and paths slippery. After a good walk in bright sunshine we all enjoyed the delights of the tea room Before driving home through wonderful Northumberland.
