Osprey Breakfast

This is not the best quality photo taken today but it was certainly the most dramatic.

We drove to Ft. DeSoto early this morning and as soon as we got out of the car we heard the noise of an Osprey, who was making quite a racket. He had a fish in his talons and he took it to the nest where apparently it was rejected. After much flurry and noise, the Osprey flew to the top of this utility pole with the fish still in its talons, and proceeded to make this live fish his breakfast. The fish squirmed for quite a while and the Osprey was still dining when we left over an hour later. It was quite an amazing sight and certainly not one for the squeemish.
