Hot, dry and dusty

There was a period of time today where Christchurch was in a dust storm. We couldn't see the Port Hills from work. Then it cleared but the wind remained. Really freaky.

Dust storm or not it is just dusty and gritty at home. The developer over my back fence has left loose dirt exposed and it ends up inside my home in any wind from northerly to westerly. I'm pretty sure this doesn't comply with their Resource Consent but the City Council wheels grind slowly. I'm trying not to sweat the small stuff.

Another big day at work. But for all that happened it was still good and I felt at peace.

The best thing I could have done was head up onto the hills. Note how the wind in the tussocks.
