Nostalgic trip

Today D#1 and I took a nostalgic jaunt into deepest, darkest Perthshire to revisit the area where my mum had been a teacher and K had spent a large part of her first few years.

We parked the car at Amulree and walked up the Glen Quaich road until we could see the frozen Loch Freuchie, ancient seat of Clan MacFreuchie, right in the centre of this blip, then did a quick about-turn because it was rather c-c-c-cold.

It is also possible to see one of the 267 pylons that make up the controversial Beauly to Denny power line, which will carry renewable energy from the Highlands to Central Scotland. For or against?

It has been a lovely day! Wolf Hall  tonight!
