This is a view over Weston Point Runcorn Cheshire taken from Frodsham hill. Frodsham is where I grew up and where my Dad still lives.
The hill gives you views to the west of the North Welsh hills, Moel Famau etc, to the north Liverpool and its famous cathedral landmarks, and the Mersey estuary, and this scene of the Chemical factories salt works etc at Weston. It is the point where the Rivers Mersey and Weaver, the weaver Navigation canal and the Manchester Ship canal all meet.
ICI was there and was a major employer in the area when I was a child.
In the centre is an Easyjet flight which landed at John Lennon airport a few moments later.
