Wanderings & Witterings

Mega 2015

The recent cold and dry weather meant that our Ramblers' Wednesday walk wasn't as muddy as it could have been in places - the potentially muddy bits of ground were more 'crunchy' than 'squelchy' underfoot - but the small rise in temperatures over the previous days had also thawed much of the snow from the hills, and the views were not as spectacular as they had been when I did my 'dry run' last week.

This gave me the opportunity, though, to record some other images from the route - a clockwise circular route from / to Cambus, around Tullibody, Glenochil and Inglewood.

The first part of the walk was along the cycle-path from Cambus towards Menstrie. Where this path passes under the main Stirling to Tullibody road, a talented graffiti artist has painted some wonderful artwork.

Apparently, the 'gallery' of work changes quite frequently and another walker I met while I was taking photos there said that the recent images had only been up for a couple of weeks. He had taken some pictures of the previous images on his mobile phone and they looked just as stunning as the current set. I've driven along the Stirling to Tullibody road many times and, until yesterday, quite unaware of the artwork underneath.
