Goats for Votes

An event organised by Campaigns and Democracy Officer of the Union of UEA Students - Chris Jarvis - to raise awareness of the need to actually register to be able to vote in the forthcoming General Election.

Four beautiful goats (and their farmer) were brought to the UEA campus where their pen was set up to attract attention.  People were encouraged to register to vote there and then, talk to people about the electoral process and then if they wished they could stroke the goats, talk to the farmer, sample goat's cheese and take photos.

The goats seemed happy with all this and certainly did a lot of posing, as you can see here.

In all the pre-election shenanigans this is the first thing that has actually made me smile.  Chris will have to get used to being known as 'Goat Boy' from now on though.
