Playing with flash

For Christmas Technophobe gave me a one-to-one portrait workshop session.  Tomorrow afternoon I am going on it so this evening I was playing with off camera flash.

I have purchased a radio remote release.  This branded Yongnuo version was 1/4 the price of the official Canon version and appears to be identical.   Reviews say that buying this one is a no-brainer and I must say I am very impressed.
