Bypassed

This old shed, close to the old Dublin Belfast road, though passed by thousands of cars on a daily basis, is somewhat unnoticed by most. Surrounded by dense a dense foliage of ivy and thorn bushes it has remained in relatively good condition and surprisingly dry.

It has a double roof. The old thatch roof was covered in a red, galavised room probably about fifty years ago and never seems to have leaked....and now the ivy is encroaching through the windows, door and is trailing down from the roof where it obviously rooted in the straw....

The only fitting is a saddle or, more probably, straddle holder high on the wall... I'll go back again with my blip buddy when the weather is warmer and the thorns less woody...and will bring a tripod as it was quite dark inside......just saying
