Summertime!

Mount Torlesse dressed up for the harvest.

If I’d suspected there would be a frost this morning I would have covered the beans and courgettes. Too late now.

We had 4mm of rain overnight, as much as we had for the whole of January. Hardly a drought breaker. The storm that came with it dropped a fresh lot of litter, after I’d so painfully cleaned up from the last storm yesterday. I’m not usually so particular about dead leaves etc. on the lawns, but they look a lot worse when the grass has dried off. Anyway, the wind has been too cold for outdoor work.
