It's Grim Up North

Horse Park

Back on with the pith helmet this morning, and the dog and I were ready to stride out and explore further up the furtherest of the far reaches of the Lancaster Canal.

Pausing only briefly so that the dog could roll in some freshly spread manure, (making me shout and wave my arms around a lot) we quickly conquered the Sedgewick viaduct before advancing on Horse Park Bridge, shown above.

Unable to push further north to next bridge because of sheep guarding the southern flank. Dog, sheep and camera aren't a great mix. Also, useless light for taking snaps. However the indigenous population seemed pretty jolly hockey sticks and not at all restless. In fact they were bordering on the inert, so will return when the sun next pops out and before the cows reappear in the fields..

I've got indigestion now.
